RECORDING NEW ALBUM!! Spanish Thrash Metallers ANGELUS APATRIDA never rest! Only two days after the last show of their extensive 'Clockwork Tour', the band entered Ultrasound Studios in Moita, Portugal, together with producer Daniel Cardoso (Anathema, Anneke Van Giersbergen, etc) and sound engineer Nuno Pardal, with whom they already previously worked for their much lauded "Clockwork" album, which marked the band's first release on Century Media Records. This new album will be released sometime before the summer of 2012 and still doesn't have a title, but some details started surfacing already: ANGELUS APATRIDA are recording 10 new tracks and 2 additional songs for bonus use. Some of the songtitles are "It's Rising!", "You Are Next", "Blood On The Snow", "Violent Dawn" and "Still Corrupt". They will also record a special cover track and the artwork for the album will again be done by Brazilian artist Gustavo Sazes (Arch Enemy, Firewind, The Crown, etc.), who's currently finishing the last details. Guillermo Izquierdo (guitars and vocals) stated about the new songs as follows: "We are working on an album that's gonna be, without any shade of doubt, our most mature material. This time we have been able to do a pre-production of the whole record with Daniel Cardoso and it turned out to add a fresher taste in both the music and vocal melodies." ANGELUS APATRIDA recently escaped from studio's routine on the night of Dec 9th to play a gig in Moita's Live Caffé that also helped testing the new material on-stage. Highlights of the recently finished 'Clockwork Tour' include several runs of headlining shows in Spain, national support for Slayer and Megadeth as well as two European tours with Skeletonwitch / Warbringer and then the "Bonecrusher Tour 2011" with Dying Fetus, Keep Of Kalessin, Carnifex and many others. TOURING WITH SLAYER AND MEGADETH IN SPAIN! ANGELUS APATRIDA have just been confirmed as support act for three dates of Slayer and Megadeth in their home territory by the end of March. The band checks in from the road with a quick comment as follows: “What can we say??! We are extremely happy about having the chance to share stage with to of the bands we always admired and grew up listening to!!! Launch new video clip for “Blast Off”; thrashing Spain NOW! Spain’s thrash hopefuls ANGELUS APATRIDA proudly present you their first video from the band’s much lauded album “Clockwork” that was released via Century Media Records in June and made it to an impressive #44 in the official Spanish sales charts. "Blast Off" has been directed and produced by Stuff & Nonsense and directors Adriana Lorente and Sara Cort who worked intensively with the band to capture the essence of the record. The thrash metal commando hasn't stopped a single minute since they released the album, and right after the European Bangover they embarked on the first leg of Spanish dates that will have them thrashing the entire country during the next two months. The young Spanish thrashing hopefuls, ANGELUS APATRIDA, have recently started their ‘European Bangover Tour’ as support of Skeletonwitch and label-mates Warbringer to present their acclaimed latest release, ‘Clockwork’, which came out via Century Media Records all over Europe on June 21st, 2010. New date added for the tour with Arch Enemy A new date is added for the tour that Arch Enemy, Angelus Apatrida & Abigail Williams will perform in Spain and Portugal. It will take place in the spanish festival 6 Milwookis Fest, where Angelus Apatrida already played in its last edition. It will be at the Pabellón La Cantábrica of Astillero, Cantabria, and also will be playing the bands A.R.D.E.N. and Metalmania, a Metallica tribute band. october 30th 2009
Tour with Arch Enemy & Abigail Williams Angelus Apatrida will tour next december with metal titans Arch Enemy in Spain and Portugal. The band are immersed in the pre-production period of their third album and will make a break in their schedule to perform this awesome tour wich will take place in Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla, Pamplona and Lisboa, with the presence of Abigail Williams, support band for the entire european tour. october 6th 2009
